Satellite imagery this morning shows that the convection associated 
with Hanna has dissipated, and a recent ASCAT overpass shows that 
the winds have decreased below tropical storm strength. The 
remaining strong winds are in an east-west band well to the north 
and northeast of the center. Convection appears unlikely to 
redevelop, and based on these factors Hanna is being downgraded to a 
remnant low pressure area.
 
The remnant low should move eastward to east-northward for the next 
several days as it gradually weakens. The low is expected to 
degenerate to a trough between 72-96 h.
