DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 500 PM AST (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Fay was 
located near latitude 26.6 North, longitude 45.3 West. The 
depression is moving toward the southwest near 9 mph (15 km/h). A 
southwest to west-southwest motion, along with an increase in 
forward speed, is expected over the next couple of days.
 
Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. 
Little change in strength is forecast during the next day or so, and 
Fay is forecast to become a post-tropical cyclone in 36 h.
 
The estimated minimum central pressure is 1011 mb (29.86 inches).
