DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 800 AM PDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Odalys was
located near latitude 22.6 North, longitude 123.4 West. Odalys is
moving toward the north near 6 mph (9 km/h) and a generally
northward motion is expected to continue through tonight.  By
Monday evening, Odalys should turn abruptly southward with a slight
increase in forward speed.
 
Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 60 mph (95 km/h) 
with higher gusts.  Further rapid weakening is forecast over the 
next few days, and Odalys should degenerate to a post-tropical 
cyclone by tonight.
 
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 105 miles (165 km)
from the center.
 
The estimated minimum central pressure is 992 mb (29.30 inches).
