DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 300 AM CST (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression
Eighteen-E was located near latitude 12.2 North, longitude 99.1
West.  The depression is moving toward the west-northwest near 10 
mph (17 km/h) and this general motion is expected to prevail 
through the next several days.  On the forecast track, the center 
of the system will move parallel to and offshore of the coast of 
Mexico.
 
Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts.
Some gradual strengthening is forecast during the next few days, 
and the depression could become a tropical storm by tonight.
 
The estimated minimum central pressure is 1008 mb (29.77 inches).
