DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 1100 AM HST (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Norbert was located near latitude 19.7 North, longitude 139.2 West. Norbert is moving toward the west near 15 mph (24 km/h) and is expected to maintain this general motion during the next couple of days. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Gradual weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and Norbert is expected to become a post-tropical remnant low tomorrow. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 140 miles (220 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches).
