DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 500 AM HST (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Norbert was
located near latitude 19.4 North, longitude 137.8 West. Norbert is
moving toward the west near 15 mph (24 km/h) and is expected to
maintain this general motion during the next couple of days.
 
Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts.
A gradual weakening trend is forecast during the next couple of 
days, and Norbert could become a post-tropical cyclone tomorrow.
 
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 80 miles (130 km)
from the center.
 
The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches).
