DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 500 AM HST (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Norbert was located near latitude 18.2 North, longitude 132.7 West. Norbert is moving toward the west near 12 mph (19 km/h), and this motion is expected to continue during the next few days. Maximum sustained winds are near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher gusts. Some fluctuations in intensity remain possible for the rest of the day, followed by a gradual weakening trend after that. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 105 miles (165 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1000 mb (29.53 inches).
