DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 500 PM HST (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Norbert was
located near latitude 17.9 North, longitude 130.5 West. Norbert is
moving toward the west near 12 mph (19 km/h), and this motion is
expected to continue during the next few days.
 
Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph (75 km/h) with higher gusts. 
Little change in strength is forecast during the next 24 hours, 
followed by a gradual weakening trend. Norbert is forecast to 
degenerate into a remnant low by Tuesday and dissipate by Wednesday.
 
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 105 miles (165 km)
from the center.
 
The estimated minimum central pressure is 1002 mb (29.59 inches).
