DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 1100 AM HST (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Norbert was
located near latitude 17.6 North, longitude 129.6 West. Norbert is
moving toward the west-northwest near 12 mph (19 km/h). A 
west-northwestward to westward motion is expected during the next 
several days.
 
Satellite-derived wind data indicate that maximum sustained winds 
have decreased to near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher gusts. Little 
change in strength is expected over the next 24 hours, but 
weakening is likely to begin on Sunday. Norbert could degenerate 
into a remnant low by Wednesday and dissipate by Thursday.
 
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 105 miles (165 km)
mainly to the north of the center.
 
The estimated minimum central pressure is 1000 mb (29.53 inches).
