DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 800 AM PDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Norbert was located near latitude 16.5 North, longitude 119.3 West. Norbert is moving toward the west near 14 mph (22 km/h) and this motion is expected to continue through Friday. A turn toward the west-northwest is forecast by Friday night. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Gradual strengthening is forecast over the next several days. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 60 miles (95 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1003 mb (29.62 inches). HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND ---------------------- None.
