660 ABPZ20 KNHC 070512 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 1100 PM PDT Sun Sep 6 2026 For the eastern and central North Pacific east of 180 longitude: Active Systems: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane Lowell, located several hundred miles south-southwest of Lihue, Hawaii, and on Tropical Storm Marie, located several hundred miles west-southwest of Punta Eugenia, Mexico. The National Hurricane Center has issued the last advisory on Post-Tropical Cyclone Karina, located several hundred miles east-northeast of the Big Island of Hawaii. Offshore of Southwestern Mexico: An area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms associated with a trough of low pressure is located several hundred miles south-southwest of southwestern Mexico. Gradual development of this system is possible, and a tropical depression could form during the middle or latter portions of the week while the system moves generally west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent. * Formation chance through 7 days...medium...50 percent.
