DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 800 AM PDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Julio was
located near latitude 18.0 North, longitude 118.9 West. Julio is
moving toward the north-northeast near 22 mph (35 km/h).  This 
general motion is expected to continue today. 
 
Maximum sustained winds are near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher gusts.
Little change in strength is forecast before Julio becomes absorbed 
by Tropical Storm Iselle later today.
 
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 175 miles (280 km)
from the center.
 
The estimated minimum central pressure is 1001 mb (29.56 inches).
