Tropical Depression Ten-E Discussion Number 2
NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL EP102026
800 PM PDT Mon Aug 24 2026

The depression has not changed much over the past several hours, and
it continues to maintain a small area of deep convection near the
center. This system is tiny in comparison to Iselle, which is
located about 400 miles to its north-northeast. The latest satellite
intensity estimates generally support maintaining the initial
wind speed at 30 kt.

Slight strengthening is possible overnight, and the depression could
briefly become a tropical storm. However, all of the models agree
that this cyclone will be absorbed by Iselle on Tuesday. Based
on the new guidance, the NHC forecast has moved up dissipation to
24 hours.
