For the eastern and central North Pacific east of 180 longitude:
Active Systems:
The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane 
Lala, located several hundred miles west of Kauai, Hawaii.
South-Southwest of Mexico:
An area of low pressure is forecast to form several hundred miles 
south-southwest of the coast of southern Mexico around the end of 
the week. Gradual development of this system is likely thereafter, 
and a tropical depression is expected to form this weekend while the 
system moves generally west-northwestward, remaining well offshore 
of Mexico.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 7 days...high...80 percent.
Central Pacific:
A tropical wave located well to the east-southeast of the Hawaiian 
Islands is showing some signs of organization.  Environmental 
conditions appear conducive for further development of this system, 
and a tropical depression is likely to form within a few days while 
the system moves generally westward across the western portion of 
the east Pacific and into the Central Pacific.
