For the eastern and central North Pacific east of 180 longitude:
Active Systems:
The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical 
Storm Lala, located a few hundred miles west-southwest of Lihue, 
Hawaii.
South of Mexico:
An area of low pressure is expected to form several hundred miles 
south of the coast of southern Mexico near the end of the week. 
Gradual development of this system is likely to occur, and a 
tropical depression is expected to form by this weekend as the 
system moves west-northwestward while remaining well offshore of 
Mexico.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 7 days...high...70 percent.
Western Portion of the East Pacific:
A broad area of low pressure could form well to the southeast of the 
Hawaiian Islands during the latter part of the week. Environmental 
conditions appear conducive for gradual development of this system, 
and a tropical depression could form towards the end of the week or 
over the weekend as the system moves generally westward across the 
western portion of the east Pacific and into the central Pacific.
