075 ABPZ20 KNHC 142307 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 500 PM PDT Fri Aug 14 2026 For the eastern and central North Pacific east of 180 longitude: Active Systems: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Lala, located several hundred miles east-southeast of Hilo, Hawaii. The National Hurricane Center is also issuing advisories on Tropical Depression Hernan, located well west-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula. South of Mexico: An area of low pressure could form several hundred miles south of the coast of southern Mexico by the early to middle part of next week. Some gradual development of this system is possible thereafter while the system moves westward or west-northwestward well south of Mexico. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent. * Formation chance through 7 days...low...20 percent. Western Portion of the East Pacific: An area of low pressure could form well to the west-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula by the early to middle part of next week. Gradual development of this system is possible thereafter while it moves generally westward across the western portion of the east Pacific. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent. * Formation chance through 7 days...low...20 percent.
