{"msg": "212\nAXNT20 KNHC 030426\nTWDAT \nTropical Weather Discussion\nNWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL\n0615 UTC Tue Nov 3 2026\nTropical Weather Discussion for North America, Central America\nGulf of America, Caribbean Sea, northern sections of South\nAmerica, and Atlantic Ocean to the African coast from the\nEquator to 31N. The following information is based on satellite\nimagery, weather observations, radar and meteorological analysis.\nBased on 0000 UTC surface analysis and satellite imagery through \n0300 UTC.\n...SPECIAL FEATURE...\nAtlantic Gale Warning: Broad low pressure is expected to develop\nalong a trough, southwest of Bermuda, roughly from 27N to 28N, \nTue night through Wed, and track slowly east-northeastward \nthroughout the rest of the week. A broad zone of strong to gale-\nforce winds, and rough to very rough seas, peaking to around 16 \nft, will develop north of the low pressure and expand eastward Wed\nthrough Fri, impacting the waters mainly north of about 27N. The \ngale-force winds are likely north of 29N from Wed afternoon \nthrough Thu evening.\n...MONSOON TROUGH/ITCZ...\nThe monsoon trough reaches the Atlantic from coastal Senegal near\n13N16W to 10N20W to 08N30W. The ITCZ starts at 08N30W and extends\nto 08N58W. Scattered moderate and isolated strong convection is \nnoted from 09N-13N east of 23W. \n...GULF OF AMERICA...\nScattered showers and thunderstorms persist over the Straits of\nFlorida, associated with an upper low over the southeast Gulf. The\ngradient between high pressure over the western Atlantic and\ntroughing over Florida is supporting fresh E winds and 5-7 ft seas\nacross the northeast Gulf. Gentle to moderate NE to E winds\npersist elsewhere, except for SE winds over the far northwest\nGulf. \nFor the forecast, a cold front will reach along the Texas coast \nlate Tue afternoon, and move out over the NW Gulf Tue night \nthrough Wed, followed briefly by moderate to fresh northwest to \nnorth winds. The front will then weaken and dissipate Wed night. \nAnother cold front is expected to slowly move into the NW Gulf \nwaters Fri through Sat night, followed by moderate to fresh \nnortheast winds. \n...CARIBBEAN SEA...\nAn upper trough over the northwest Caribbean is supporting\nscattered showers and thunderstorms between 75W and 83W. High \npressure over the western Atlantic is supporting moderate E winds \nand 3-5 ft seas across the eastern Caribbean, except for fresh \nwinds off northeast Caribbean. Gentle breezes and 1-3 ft seas are \nnoted over the western Caribbean. \nFor the forecast, moderate to fresh trades and moderate seas \nacross the central and eastern Caribbean will persist through \nTue. The pressure gradient across the region will then relax Tue \nnight through Sat as broad low pressure forms along the trough to \nthe SW of Bermuda and shifts east-northeastward throughout the \nweek, leading to overall weaker winds and diminishing seas across \nthe Caribbean basin. \n...ATLANTIC OCEAN...\nA stationary front extends from 31N37W to 26N50W to 25N65W, where\nthat transitions to a shear line to 24N80W. Fresh to strong NE to\nE winds and 8-11 ft seas continue north of the front and\nshearline. Over the deep tropics, a few thunderstorms are active \nalong a trough extending along 48W from 14N to 20N. Farther east,\nscattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are active south\nof the Canary Islands. Gentle to moderate winds and 5-7 ft persist\nelsewhere across the North Atlantic south of 31N.\nFor the forecast west of 55W, a lingering frontal trough meanders\nfrom near 26N55W westward and through the central Bahamas along \n25N. Strong high pressure across the eastern U.S. is building \neastward across the Atlantic waters north of the trough. The \nresulting pressure gradient will maintain widespread fresh to \nstrong northeast to east winds and rough seas to 11 ft north of \nthe trough and west of 60W through Tue. Broad low pressure is \nexpected to develop along the trough, southwest of Bermuda, \nroughly from 27N to 28N, Tue night through Wed, and track slowly \neast-northeastward throughout the rest of the week. A broad zone \nof strong to gale-force winds, and rough to very rough seas, \npeaking to around 16 ft, will develop north of the low pressure \nand expand eastward Wed through Fri, impacting the waters mainly \nnorth of about 27N. The gale-force winds are likely north of 29N \nfrom Wed afternoon through Thu evening. A weakening cold front \nwill slowly move across the waters between Florida and 75W Fri and\nFri night, dissipating Sat and Sat night.\n", "title": "Atlantic Tropical Weather Discussion", "id": "1224243841772716035", "issued": "2026-11-03T06:15:00Z", "wmo": "AXNT20", "source": "NOAA/NWS National Hurricane Center, received via the National Weather Wire Service", "page": "https://hurricane.terrapin.com/text/1224243841772716035"}
