It is expected to make landfall as a hurricane \nalong the coast of the western Florida Panhandle this evening. Isaias \nwill gradually weaken as it moves north across Alabama overnight into\nSaturday. Tropical storm force wind gusts are expected across portions\nof East and Northeast Mississippi, as early as this evening in\nsoutheastern Mississippi, and overnight into Saturday across eastern \nand northeastern Mississippi. Downed trees and power outages are\npossible in these areas. Heavy rainfall and flash flooding are also\npossible, with greatest impacts expected generally across southeast to \neast Mississippi. Conditions are forecast to gradually improve late\nSaturday afternoon into Saturday evening.\n\nPOTENTIAL IMPACTS\n-----------------\n\n* WIND:\nProtect against hazardous wind having possible limited impacts across\neastern and northeastern Mississippi. Potential impacts in this area \ninclude:\n - Damage to porches, awnings, carports, sheds, and unanchored \n mobile homes. Unsecured lightweight objects blown about.\n - Many large tree limbs broken off. A few trees snapped or \n uprooted, but with greater numbers in places where trees are \n shallow rooted. Some fences and roadway signs blown over.\n - A few roads impassable from debris, particularly within urban \n or heavily wooded places. Hazardous driving conditions on \n bridges and other elevated roadways.\n - Scattered power and communications outages.\n\n\n* FLOODING RAIN:\nProtect against dangerous rainfall flooding having possible significant\nimpacts across eastern and northeastern Mississippi. Potential impacts\ninclude:\n - Moderate rainfall flooding may prompt several evacuations and \n rescues.\n - Rivers and tributaries may quickly become swollen with swifter \n currents and overspill their banks in a few places, especially \n in usually vulnerable spots. Small streams, creeks, canals, and \n ditches overflow.\n - Flood waters can enter some structures or weaken foundations. \n Several places may experience expanded areas of rapid \n inundation at underpasses, low-lying spots, and poor drainage \n areas. Some streets and parking lots take on moving water as \n storm drains and retention ponds overflow. Driving conditions \n become hazardous. Some road and bridge closures.\n\nElsewhere across Central Mississippi, Northeast Louisiana, and extreme\nSoutheast Arkansas, little to no impact is anticipated.\n\nPRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS\n----------------------------------\n\n* EVACUATIONS:\nFollow the advice of local officials.\n\n\n* OTHER PREPAREDNESS INFORMATION:\nNow is the time to complete all preparations to protect life and \nproperty in accordance with your emergency plan.
