Simon is \nmoving toward the west near 7 mph (11 km/h) and this motion is \nexpected to continue today, followed by a turn toward the \nwest-northwest to north-northwest on Friday. Simon should turn \ntoward the north Friday night and approach the coast of southwestern \nMexico on Saturday.\n \nMaximum sustained winds remain near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher\ngusts.
