Environmental conditions appear conducive for \ngradual development, and this system is expected to become a \ntropical depression within a day or so. The disturbance should \ncontinue to move slowly west-northwestward to northwestward for the \nnext few days. Regardless of development, heavy rainfall is forecast \nacross portions of southern and southwestern Mexico through this \nweek. Interests along the coast of southwestern Mexico should \nmonitor the progress of this system.
