Environmental conditions appear favorable for gradual \ndevelopment, and a tropical depression is likely to form within the \nnext day or two while the system moves slowly west-northwestward to \nnorthwestward. Regardless of development, heavy rainfall is expected \nacross portions of southern and southwestern Mexico over the next \nfew days.
