Continued development of this system \nis expected, and a tropical depression is anticipated to form over \nthe next day or so while it drifts eastward. The low pressure area \ncould bring gusty winds and areas of heavy rain to the western \nportions of the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico in a couple of days. \nThe disturbance is expected to turn to the north or northeast toward \nthe northern Gulf Coast by the end of the week. It is still too \nearly to determine specific impacts to the northern Gulf Coast, but \ninterests from the Florida Panhandle to Louisiana should closely \nmonitor the progress of this system. The NOAA Gulfstream is \nscheduled to sample the environment over the Gulf later today and an \nAir Force reconnaissance aircraft is scheduled to investigate the \nsystem tomorrow.\n* Formation chance through 48 hours...high...90 percent.\n* Formation chance through 7 days...high...90 percent.\n", "title": "Atlantic Tropical Weather Outlook", "id": "1216400182511370247", "issued": "2026-10-06T12:00:00Z", "wmo": "ABNT20", "source": "NOAA/NWS National Hurricane Center, received via the National Weather Wire Service", "page": "https://hurricane.terrapin.com/text/1216400182511370247"}
