Nolo is moving\ntoward the west near 8 mph (13 km/h). A mainly westward motion with \nan increase in forward speed is expected during the next few days. \nOn the forecast track, the center of Nolo will continue to move \nthrough the Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument but remain \njust south of the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands west of French \nFrigate Shoals.\n \nMaximum sustained winds are near 90 mph (150 km/h) with higher\ngusts. Rapid intensification is possible over the next day or so, \nand Nolo is forecast to become a major hurricane over the weekend.\n \nHurricane-force winds extend outward up to 25 miles (35 km) from\nthe center and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 115\nmiles (185 km).\n \nThe estimated minimum central pressure is 975 mb (28.80 inches).\n \n \nHAZARDS AFFECTING LAND\n----------------------\nWIND: Tropical storm conditions will continue within the Tropical\nStorm Warning area from French Frigate Shoals to Maro Reef through\nearly Saturday. Tropical storm conditions are expected to begin\nfarther west from Maro Reef to Lisianski Island on Saturday.\n \nSURF: Large waves associated with Nolo will continue to affect the\nPapahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument over the next several\ndays. The surf will likely inundate some of the low-lying atolls\nfrom French Frigate Shoals to Lisianski Island.
