This system could become a short-lived \ntropical depression on Thursday or Friday while it moves \nnorthwestward to northward.  However, strong upper-level winds \nshould end the opportunity for development by the weekend.  \nInterests in the Cabo Verde Islands should monitor the progress of \nthis system as gusty winds, areas of heavy rain and flash flooding \nis possible there by Friday.\n* Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...50 percent.\n* Formation chance through 7 days...medium...50 percent.\nCentral Subtropical Atlantic (Former Tropical Storm Fay):\nShowers and thunderstorms have increased with the remnants of \nFay located several hundred miles southwest of the Azores.
