Marie is\nmoving toward the northwest near 8 mph (13 km/h). A slight turn\ntoward the west-northwest is forecast to occur soon. Marie is then\nexpected to resume a northwestward heading at a faster forward speed\nby Tuesday.\n \nMaximum sustained winds have decreased to near 65 mph (100 km/h) \nwith higher gusts.  Steady weakening is expected to continue for the \nnext several days, and Marie is forecast to become a post-tropical \nremnant low Tuesday night or early Wednesday.\n \nTropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 115 miles (185 km)\nfrom the center.\n \nThe estimated minimum central pressure is 986 mb (29.12 inches).\n \n \nHAZARDS AFFECTING LAND\n----------------------\nSURF: Swells generated by Marie will continue to affect portions of\nthe coast of the Baja California Peninsula and southern California\nfor the next couple of days.
