Marie is moving\ntoward the northwest near 8 mph (13 km/h) and this motion is \nexpected to continue through today. A turn toward the west- \nnorthwest is forecast tonight or on Monday. Marie is then expected \nto resume a northwestward heading at a faster forward speed by \nTuesday.\n \nMaximum sustained winds are near 90 mph (150 km/h) with higher\ngusts.  Steady weakening is expected to begin later today and \ncontinue for the next several days. Marie is forecast to become a \npost-tropical remnant low on Wednesday.\n \nHurricane-force winds extend outward up to 50 miles (85 km) from the\ncenter and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 185 miles\n(295 km).\n \nThe estimated minimum central pressure is 971 mb (28.68 inches).\n \n \nHAZARDS AFFECTING LAND\n----------------------\nSURF: Swells generated by Marie will continue to affect portions of\nthe coast of southwest Mexico, the Baja California Peninsula, and\nSouthern California for the next few days.
