The\ndepression is moving toward the north-northwest near 5 mph (7 km/h)\nand this motion is expected to continue over the next 12 to 18 \nhours.\n \nMaximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts.\nGradual weakening of Edouard is expected over the next 12 to 18 \nhours.\n \nThe estimated minimum central pressure is 1004 mb (29.65 inches).\n \n \nHAZARDS AFFECTING LAND\n----------------------\nKey messages for Tropical Depression Edouard can be found in the\nTropical Cyclone Discussion under AWIPS header MIATCDAT5 and WMO\nheader WTNT45 KNHC.\n \nWIND: Wind gusts of 35 to 45 mph may continue near the\ncenter of Edouard for the next several hours.\n \nRAINFALL: Total rainfall along the path of Edouard is expected to\nrange from 5 to 10 inches, with maximum totals up to 20 inches for\ninland areas away from the Upper Texas Coast through east-central\nTexas. This rainfall is likely to produce flash flooding, especially\nin low-lying and urban areas.
