The\ndepression is moving toward the north-northwest near 5 mph (7 km/h)\nand this motion is expected to continue over the next 24 hours.\n \nMaximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts.\nContinued weakening is expected over the next 24 hours, as Edouard \nis forecast to dissipate Wednesday night.\n \nThe estimated minimum central pressure is 1004 mb (29.65 inches).\n \n \nHAZARDS AFFECTING LAND\n----------------------\nKey messages for Tropical Storm Edouard can be found in the\nTropical Cyclone Discussion under AWIPS header MIATCDAT5 and WMO\nheader WTNT45 KNHC.\n \nWIND: Wind gusts to tropical-storm force may continue near the\ncenter of Edouard for the next several hours.\n \nRAINFALL: Total rainfall along Edouard's path is expected to range\nfrom 4 to 8 inches, with maximum totals up to 12 inches for parts of\nthe Upper Texas Coast inland through east-central Texas. This\nrainfall is likely to produce flash flooding, especially in\nlow-lying and urban areas.
