Karina is moving\ntoward the west near 12 mph (19 km/h) and a westward to\nwest-northwestward motion is expected during the next few days.\n \nMaximum sustained winds have increased to near 140 mph (220 km/h) \nwith higher gusts.  Karina is a category 4 hurricane on the \nSaffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale.
