The\ndepression is moving toward the northwest near 8 mph (13 km/h), and\nthis motion is expected to continue for the next day or so. On the\nforecast track, the center of Edouard will continue moving inland\nover southeastern and eastern Texas through Wednesday.\n \nMaximum sustained winds have decreased to near 35 mph (55 km/h) \nwith higher gusts. Continued weakening is expected during the next\nday or so, and Edouard is forecast to weaken to a tropical\ndepression tonight and dissipate by Wednesday night.\n \nThe estimated minimum central pressure is 1002 mb (29.59 inches).\n \n \nHAZARDS AFFECTING LAND\n----------------------\nKey messages for Tropical Storm Edouard can be found in the\nTropical Cyclone Discussion under AWIPS header MIATCDAT5 and WMO\nheader WTNT45 KNHC.\n \nWIND: Wind gusts to tropical-storm force may continue near the\ncenter of Edouard for the next several hours.\n \nRAINFALL: Edouard is expected to produce rainfall totals of 3 to 7\ninches with maximum totals up to 12 inches for parts of the Upper\nTexas Coast inland through east-central Texas, with potential for 2\nto 4 inches in far southwest Louisiana. This rainfall is likely to\nproduce flash flooding, especially in low-lying and urban areas.\nSignificant flash flooding is possible.
