A deep ring of cold convection wraps around a small eye\nfeature that is becoming more evident in infrared and satellite\nimagery. Objective intensity estimates have been steadily increasing\nthe last few hours. The initial intensity has been raised to 110 kt,\nmaking Lowell a major category 3 hurricane, and is rapidly\nintensifying.\n \nLowell remains within a favorable environment with warm sea surface\ntemperatures, and low wind shear. Lowell is likely to continue\nstrengthening, and remain a major hurricane throughout the\nremainder of the forecast period. The latest NHC intensity forecast\nwas adjusted upward, given the recent satellite trends and current\nconditions.\n \nThere were no changes made to the track forecast with this advisory,\nwith the west-northwestward to westward motion anticipated to\ncontinue over the next few days.\n \nKey Messages:\n \n1. Interests in the Hawaiian Islands should continue to closely\nmonitor the progress of Hurricane Lowell.\n \n \nFORECAST POSITIONS AND MAX WINDS\n \nINIT  02/0000Z 13.5N 150.7W  110 KT 125 MPH\n 12H  02/0600Z 13.7N 151.7W  125 KT 145 MPH\n 24H  02/1800Z 13.8N 153.7W  130 KT 150 MPH\n 36H  03/0600Z 14.0N 155.7W  130 KT 150 MPH\n 48H  03/1800Z 14.2N 157.6W  125 KT 145 MPH\n 60H  04/0600Z 14.4N 159.2W  120 KT 140 MPH\n 72H  04/1800Z 14.5N 160.6W  120 KT 140 MPH\n 96H  05/1800Z 14.7N 163.3W  120 KT 140 MPH\n120H  06/1800Z 15.3N 164.9W  120 KT 140 MPH\n \n"}
