Subjective Dvorak intensity \nestimates from HFO and JTWC at 1800 UTC were 35 and 30 kt, \nrespectively, while objective estimates ranged from 45-50 kt. Given \nthe relatively steady nature of Lala\u2019s appearance on satellite \nimagery since the last advisory, the initial intensity was held at \n40 kt. \n \nLala\u2019s speed remains slow, with an initial motion estimate of 320/4 \nkt. A high pressure ridge centered to the storm\u2019s east-northeast \nwill drive a slow storm motion toward the north-northwest, before \nthe system gradually turns more westward as it moves away from the \nridge\u2019s influence. Little change was made to the track forecast from \nthe last advisory package, as models generally exhibited good \nagreement in the track while Lala remains tropical.\n\nWith the storm moving over gradually decreasing SSTs and \nincreasing vertical wind shear, Lala is expected to become a \npost-tropical remnant low within the next 48 hours, right when the \nsystem is forecast to cross the international dateline. Changes to \nthe intensity forecast were minimal, with the main adjustment being \nto show an earlier dissipation for Lala at 96 hours.
