The \ndepression is moving toward the west near 13 mph (20 km/h), and this \ngeneral motion is expected to continue during the next day or two. \nOn the forecast track, the center of Moke will pass southwest of the \nBig Island of Hawaii overnight and well south of the smaller main \nHawaiian Islands on Monday.\n \nMaximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts.\nWeakening is expected, and Moke is forecast to degenerate to a\nremnant low pressure area by late Monday and dissipate on Tuesday.\n \nThe estimated minimum central pressure is 1004 mb (29.65 inches).\nNOAA buoy 51002 to the north-northeast of Moke recently reported a\nsustained wind of 31 mph (50 km/h) and a gust of 36 mph (58 km/h).\n \n \nHAZARDS AFFECTING LAND\n----------------------\nKey messages for Tropical Depression Moke can be found in the\nTropical Cyclone Discussion under AWIPS header HFOTCDCP3 and WMO\nheader WTPA43 PHFO.\n \nWIND: Gusty winds are likely across the Hawaiian Islands during the\nnext day or two, especially in areas of high terrain.\n \nRAINFALL: Tropical Depression Moke is expected to produce additional\nrainfall totals of 3 to 6 inches through Monday across the Big\nIsland. Rainfall totals of 3 to 6 inches of rain are expected on\neastern Maui.
