The\ndepression is moving toward the west near 14 mph (22 km/h), and this\ngeneral motion is expected to continue during the next several \ndays. On the forecast track, the center of Moke is expected to pass \nsouth and southwest of the Big Island of Hawaii tonight, then well \nsouth of the smaller main Hawaiian Islands tonight and Monday.\n \nRecent satellite wind data indicate that maximum sustained winds\nare now near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Continued\nweakening is forecast, and Moke is expected to degenerate to a \nremnant low pressure area by Tuesday.\n \nThe estimated minimum central pressure is 1003 mb (29.62 inches).\n \n \nHAZARDS AFFECTING LAND\n----------------------\nKey messages for Tropical Depression Moke can be found in the\nTropical Cyclone Discussion under AWIPS header HFOTCDCP3 and WMO\nheader WTPA43 PHFO.\n \nWIND: Gusty winds are likely across the Hawaiian Islands during\nthe next couple of days, especially in areas of high terrain.\n \nRAINFALL: Tropical Depression Moke is expected to produce \nadditional rainfall totals of 3 to 6 inches through Monday across \nthe Big Island. Rainfall totals of 3 to 6 inches of rain are \nexpected on eastern Maui.
