Moke is\nmoving toward the west near 15 mph (24 km/h), and this general\nmotion is expected to continue during the next several days. On the\nforecast track, the center of the storm is expected to pass south of\nthe Big Island of Hawaii on Sunday, then well south of the smaller\nmain Hawaiian Islands early next week.\n \nMaximum sustained winds remain near 45 mph (75 km/h) with higher \ngusts.  Moke is forecast to lose some strength during the next few \ndays and could become a post-tropical cyclone by midweek.\n \nTropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 90 miles (150 km)\nfrom the center.\n \nThe estimated minimum central pressure is 1002 mb (29.59 inches) \nbased on data from an Air Force Reserve reconnaissance aircraft.\n \n \nHAZARDS AFFECTING LAND\n----------------------\nKey messages for Tropical Storm Moke can be found in the Tropical\nCyclone Discussion under AWIPS header HFOTCDCP3 and WMO header\nWTPA43 PHFO.\n \nWIND: Gusty winds are expected across the Hawaiian Islands during\nthe next couple of days, especially in areas of high terrain.\n \nRAINFALL: The tropical storm is expected to produce rainfall totals\nof 5 to 10 inches with maximum amounts of 15 inches across the Big\nIsland. Rainfall totals of 3 to 6 inches are expected on eastern\nMaui.
