Moke is \nmoving toward the west near 12 mph (19 km/h), and this general \nmotion is expected to continue during the next several days. On the \nforecast track, the center of the storm is expected to pass south of \nthe Big Island of Hawaii on Sunday, then well south of the smaller \nmain Hawaiian Islands early next week.\n \nMaximum sustained winds are near 45 mph (75 km/h) with higher gusts.\nLittle change in strength is expected overnight, but a gradual\nweakening trend is forecast to begin on Sunday.\n \nTropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 115 miles (185 km)\nfrom the center.\n \nThe minimum central pressure is 1002 mb (29.59 inches) based on \ndata from an Air Force Reserve reconnaissance aircraft.\n \n \nHAZARDS AFFECTING LAND\n----------------------\nKey messages for Tropical Storm Moke can be found in the Tropical\nCyclone Discussion under AWIPS header HFOTCDCP3 and WMO header\nWTPA43 PHFO.\n \nWIND: Gusty winds are expected across the Hawaiian Islands during \nthe next couple of days, especially in areas of high terrain.\n \nRAINFALL: The tropical storm is expected to produce rainfall totals \nof 5 to 10 inches with maximum amounts of 15 inches across the Big \nIsland. Rainfall totals of 3 to 6 inches are expected on eastern \nMaui.
