Moke is \nmoving toward the west near 14 mph (22 km/h), and this general \nmotion is expected during the next several days. On the forecast \ntrack, the center of the storm is expected to pass south of the Big \nIsland of Hawaii on Sunday, then well south of the smaller main \nHawaiian Islands early next week.\n \nMaximum sustained winds are near 45 mph (75 km/h) with higher gusts. \nLittle change in strength is expected tonight, but a gradual \nweakening trend is forecast to begin on Sunday.\n \nTropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 115 miles (185 km)\nfrom the center.\n \nThe minimum central pressure is 999 mb (29.50 inches) based on data \nfrom NOAA and Air Force Reserve reconnaissance aircraft.\n\n \nHAZARDS AFFECTING LAND\n----------------------\nKey messages for Tropical Storm Moke can be found in the Tropical\nCyclone Discussion under AWIPS header HFOTCDCP3 and WMO header\nWTPA43 PHFO.\n \nWIND: Gusty winds are expected across the Hawaiian Islands late \ntonight and Sunday, especially in areas of high terrain.\n \nRAINFALL: Moke is expected to produce rainfall totals of 5 to 10 \ninches with maximum amounts of 15 inches across the Big Island. \nRainfall totals of 3 to 6 inches are expected on eastern Maui.
