Moke is\nmoving toward the west-northwest near 12 mph (19 km/h) and this\ngeneral motion is expected during the next several days. On the\nforecast track, the center of the storm is expected to pass south of\nthe Big Island of Hawaii on Sunday, then well south of the smaller \nmain Hawaiian Islands early next week.\n \nMaximum sustained winds remain near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher\ngusts.  Little change in strength is expected today, but gradual\nweakening is forecast to begin on Sunday.\n \n \nHAZARDS AFFECTING LAND\n----------------------\nKey messages for Tropical Storm Moke can be found in the Tropical\nCyclone Discussion under AWIPS header HFOTCDCP3 and WMO header\nWTPA43 PHFO.\n \nWIND: Gusty winds are expected across the Hawaiian Islands \nlate tonight and Sunday, especially in areas of high terrain.\n \nRAINFALL: Moke is expected to produce rainfall totals of 5 to 10 \ninches with maximum amounts of 15 inches across the Big Island. \nRainfall totals of 3 to 6 inches of rain are expected on eastern \nMaui.
