Lala is moving\ntoward the north near 9 mph (15 km/h). A turn toward the northwest \nis expected tonight, and a motion toward the northwest will \ncontinue the next several days.\n \nMaximum sustained winds have decreased to near 85 mph (140 km/h) \nwith higher gusts.  Lala is forecast to gradually weaken through the \nweekend into next week.\n \nHurricane-force winds extend outward up to 45 miles (75 km) from the\ncenter and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 160 miles\n(260 km).\n \nThe estimated minimum central pressure is 977 mb (28.85 inches).\n \n \nHAZARDS AFFECTING LAND\n----------------------\nSURF: Large surf associated with Lala will affect the\nPapahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument for the next couple of\ndays.
