Lala is moving\ntoward the north-northeast near 9 mph (15 km/h), and this motion is\nexpected to continue through early Friday. A turn toward the north \nis expected later on Friday, followed by a northwestward motion \nbeginning Friday night and continuing through early next week. On \nthe forecast track, the center of Lala will continue moving farther \naway from the Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument.\n \nMaximum sustained winds have increased to near 100 mph (155 km/h) \nwith higher gusts.  Some fluctuations in intensity are possible \nover the next day or so, but overall gradual weakening is expected \nthrough early next week. Lala is forecast to remain a hurricane \nthrough Saturday.\n \nHurricane-force winds extend outward up to 45 miles (75 km) from the\ncenter and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 150 miles\n(240 km).\n \nThe estimated minimum central pressure is 971 mb (28.68 inches).\n \n \nHAZARDS AFFECTING LAND\n----------------------\nWIND: Hurricane conditions, especially in gusts, are expected to \ncontinue within the Hurricane Warning area through Friday. Tropical \nstorm conditions are occurring within the Tropical Storm Warning \narea and will persist into Friday.\n \nSURF: Large surf associated with Lala will affect the\nPapahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument for the next couple of\ndays.
