Environmental conditions appear favorable for \ngradual development, and a tropical depression is likely to form \nthis weekend or early next week while the system moves \nwest-northwestward or northwestward, remaining well offshore of \nMexico.\n* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent.\n* Formation chance through 7 days...high...80 percent.\nCentral East Pacific:\nA weak area of low pressure located several hundred miles south of \nthe southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula is producing a \nlarge area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms.
