The\npost-tropical cyclone is moving toward the west-northwest near     \n13 mph (20 km/h) and this general motion is expected to continue \nfor the next couple of days. On the forecast track, Fausto will \npass north of the Hawaiian Islands through this evening.\n \nMaximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts.\nWeakening is expected, and the post-tropical cyclone is forecast to \nweaken to a trough by Friday.\n\nThe estimated minimum central pressure is 1008 mb (29.77 inches).\n \n \nHAZARDS AFFECTING LAND\n----------------------\nKey messages for Fausto can be found in the Tropical Cyclone\nDiscussion under AWIPS header HFOTCDCP1 and WMO header WTPA41 PHFO.\n \nSURF: Surf generated by the remnants of Fausto is building westward\nacross the Hawaiian Islands along exposed east-facing shores and\nwill remain dangerous today as the system passes north of the\nislands.
